Twin Tower designs presented to CM

The Chief Minister met with architects from the firm Shapoorji Pallonji on Monday at the Secretariat. They presented designs for the Amaravati Iconic Twin-Tower, the design strategy, the context and the composition planned for the property.
The towers will comprise of office spaces (55-57%), shopping areas (12-13%), hotel (12%) and service apartments (8%). The Chief Minister approved of the designs, and gave the architects some feedback to work on.
“Not just the façade, but the activities we have, must attract tourists. We need to apply the best of business sense to capitalise on different activities”, he said.
The Chief Minister said that he wants a case study done on the top 10 towers, about their compositions. He said that the team must derive inspiration out of iconic towers across the world like Burj Khalifa in Dubai or others in Singapore and Malaysia.
He also suggested that the towers must complement the greenery, the water-front, the dynamic personality of the Andhra citizen and the ambition to be technologically advanced.
