Japanese Delegation meets CM Chandrababu
The Chief Minister aims to facilitate the set up of India-Headquarters of the Japanese companies in the city of Amaravati. On Monday, he discussed with the Japanese delegation about the development of Industrial Clusters of Japanese companies near Sri City or Krishnapatnam.
The Chief Minister met with a team of 7 Japanese delegates – four from Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and three from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The involvement of JICA in the development of the master-plans for Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) was discussed, as well as their proposals for short-term, medium-term and long-term strategies for Transport Development of Amaravati. The Japanese delegation was also asked to commence the preparation of the master-plan for Sports City and Electronic City at Amaravati.
In May 2016, Mr. Yosuga Takagi, (now State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan) had visited Vijayawada with a large delegation of representatives of the Japanese industry, who were interested in the idea of the development of Amaravati. Subsequently, discussions were held with CRDA officials and Mr. Ajay Jain, Prinicipal Secretary, Energy and Infrastructure.
During the meeting on June 12th, the Chief Minister requested the delegation to finalise the aforementioned plans during the next visit of Mr. Takagi, who will be accompanied by 20 government delegates and 20 business delegates, scheduled to be on July 12th. He urged the delegation to perform wonders to help build the city of Amaravati with the latest technology, like driverless cars and electrical vehicles.
