1.Time bound Action Plan to be made for all the clusters immediately.
2. Central Govt funds to be tapped from the new Powerloom Scheme to make the best use of it
- Handlooms are regaining their lost image- all the traditional clusters like Uppada, Dharmavaram, Mangalagiri, Venkatagiri etc to be studied in depth about sales, etc and come up with the reasons and also the action plan for future scale up- NIFT to be part of the work- Dept to work in continuous coordination with NIFT
- Customised looming became very prominent these days- this to be studied in detail
- State handloom Board to be setup with 30 members comprising of dept officials and experts
- EDB to support in online marketing for handlooms- Make the best use of e-commerce
- Dept to find a way to work in convergence with APCO, Lepakshi and make the best use of available opportunities
- 190 Cluster proposals sent to GoI of which 14 proposals were sanctioned each of Rs 2 Crores
- Monthly report to be submitted to Hon’ble CM about the action plan and also the work with NIFT
- Escort Officer to be nominated from each dept to follow up on the MoU’s and other existing assignments.
- Hon’ble Minister of handlooms & textiles to visit Tamil Nadu along with officials and study the Tirupur model and also invite investors to AP.
- Old age pensions to be disbursed immeadiatley
- MUDRA loans to be taken forward in a big way
- APCO to introduce designer shirts, establish design studio in coordination with NIFT at APCO corporate office in Vijaywada.
- sanction of 25000 additional pensions in 1 month
- sanction of 4000 worksheds in 1 month
- to setup APCO and lepakshi shops in secretariat
- Identify places where CETPs can be established in AP. Cluster model to be followed so that the pollution clearances can be taken.
- Investors/Leads in Textiles India 2017 to be followed up immeadiatly
- Hyosung corporation- spandex manufacturer – exploring opportunity to setup plant in AP
- PS 2016,2017 MoU companies to be followed up and make sure they are grounded in the next 2 months
- Model of Shahi in chittoor to be studied and explore the possibility of setting the same in other parts of the state.
