CM review meeting on Polavaram
The Chief Minister conducted the 35th virtual inspection for Polavaram on Monday, at the Secretariat.
The total earthwork excavated this week is 3.15 lakh cubic metres, and the total concrete laid for the spill way and the stilling basin is 21,007 cubic metres. The diaphragm saw a growth of 2.2 metres along its length.
The excavation status of the project looks promising with 300 cubic metres remaining out of a total 1,055 cubic metres.
The total amount of executed concrete works 1.83 lakh cubic metres, out of 16.04 lakh cubic metres for the spillway and stilling basin.
The Chief Minister said, “Now the time has come, when targets must be achieved and the project must be completed in time. The review meetings will be a way to find solutions quickly and efficiently.”

Officials from SHAR reported that it was raining significantly only in the previous three days. From July 21 to 31, the state has received an average of 15mm. The second week of August will shower the state with more substantial rainfall.
Rainwater has ensured that the Almatti dam has filled upto 99% and the Narayanpur dam has filled upto 97%.
For Kurnool, the Chief Minister directed officials to procure the water from Tungabhadra Low Level Canal. While there is enough water to sustain for the next two weeks, they had expressed signs of water shortage.
