AP CM to visit London on 24th and 25th October to finalise designs for government complexes

Applications of schools to be opened in Amaravati reviewed by CM
The Chief Minister will be visiting London for an exclusive meeting with Foster & Partners, to finalise the designs on the 24th and 25th of October. Prior to that, S. S. Rajamouli and other officers will be visiting London for a workshop on Urban Design and Planning.
The Chief Minster reviewed the progress of projects being governed by APCRDA on Wednesday, in the Secretariat.
Boat Racing
A massive event to promote boat racing is scheduled to be organised in November 2019 called “P1 Power Boat Grand Prix”. It is a world championship series, that is usually conducted in Marine Drive, Mumbai. The organisers have approached the AP government, with Maruti Nexa sponsoring the event, seeking an association. The entire event takes place across 10 days, and boat races are conducted for 3 days.
Schools
11 out of 25 top ranked schools and 13 unranked schools have sent their applications to the authorities, and said that they will commence operations from next year.
Scottish High International School, Chinmaya Mission, Candor International School, The Heritage School, Sadbhavana World School, Ryan Global School, Podar School, Glendale Academy, Delhi Public School, GIIS, DAV group of schools are the 11 top ranked schools.
Jubilee Public School, Jesus Mary Joseph School, Sri Saraswati Vidya Peetham, Loyola Public School and Siddhartha Academy of General & Technical Education are among the 13 unranked schools who have sent their applications through suo moto.
The Chief Minister asked officials to continue to aim for the top 5 institutes in the world to establish their schools in Amaravati. “We must not compromise on standards of education. We need the best infrastructure with curriculum of international standard, and faculty who are well-trained.
Dhirubhai Ambani International School and Aditya Birla World Academy are among the schools that have been sent invitations from the Chief Minister.
2 Kendriya Vidyalayas have been approved for establishing their schools in 5 acres each.
Krishna Kamalam
A craft bazaar called Krishna Kamalam will be set up in Sakamuru Regional Park. The area will be dedicated to the sale of locally made handicrafts, and will be spread across 4 or 5 acres.
