TAGB Invitation to Kids Poetry Recitation Competition on 27 Apr 2019

పిల్లలలో తెలుగు పద్యాలు, వాటిలోని భాషా సౌందర్యం పట్ల ఆసక్తిని, అవగాహనని పెంచాలని మా ప్రయత్నం. తెలుగు పద్యాలను నేర్చుకునే పిల్లలను ప్రోత్సాహించటమే ఈ పోటీ ఉద్దేశం. పిల్లలకి తెలుగు పద్యాలు ముఖ్యంగా, వేమన శతకం, సుమతీ శతకం, కృష్ణ శతకం, దాశరథీ శతకం నేర్పటం మంచిదే. వేమన పద్యాలు సరళమైన అచ్చ తెలుగులో భావ గర్భితంగా ఉంటాయి. ప్రతి తెలుగు విద్యార్థి తప్పకుండా తెలుసుకొనవలసిన పద్యాలివి. ప్రతి సారి పిల్లలకి కొత్త పద్యాలు నేర్చుకునే అవకాశం కల్పించే ఉద్దేశ్యంతో ఈ సారి వేమన శతకం, భాస్కర శతకం, నృసింహ శతకం, భాగవతం లోని పద్యాలు ఎంపిక చేసి పంపుతున్నాము. ఈ పద్యాలు మీ పిల్లలకి నేర్పి, వారిని ఈ పోటీలో పాల్గొనమని తప్పక ప్రోత్సహించండి. 

TAGB is announcing Telugu Poem Recital contest (‘పసి’డి పద్యాల పోటీ) and welcomes all kids from Elementary to High school to participate. The contest will take place during the Ugadi celebrations on April 27, 2019 at the venue. 

Contest will be held in 3 levels: 

ప్రథమ స్థాయి – Level I (Grades 1-4)
ద్వితీయ స్థాయి – Level II (Grades 5-8) 
తృతీయ స్థాయి – Level III (Grades 9-12)

Rules for Poem Recital Competition

Each participant will be asked to recite as many poems as they can from the list published on our website (Click here for poems list). This year we chose poems from Vemana Satakamu, Bhaskara Satakamu, Nrisimha Satakamu, and Potana Mahabhagavatamu.  

Participants will be judged on their ability to recite each poem fully and accurately. Fluency, pronunciation, diction, and cadence will also be criteria for evaluation.

In addition to the above,

1. Level II participants can be asked for the meaning of or summary of each poem
2. Level III participants can be asked to narrate the summary of each poem and to explain the meaning of any specific word in each poem

Judges’ decision will be final

Winners from each level will be announced soon after the competition on the same day and invited on stage for prize distribution.

Entry Fee: $10. No refunds can be considered after registration.

Last date to register: April 20, 2019.
Reporting time for contest: 12:30 pm on April 27, 2019.
