Sreenidhi University turns up the music and lights for golf in Hyderabad

At a glittering night of celebrations on Sunday, Sreenidhi University reaffirmed its commitment to sports and golf in Hyderabad and Telangana. The title sponsor’s contribution was key to the success of the second edition of the Telangana Premier Golf League. The winners and contributors, including several corporates that sponsored the 16 teams in the competition were felicitated by the Hyderabad Golf Association in a bespoke event at ITC Kohenur.

The Villaggio Highlanders were gracious in defeat, appreciating the wild ride that nearly earned them a playoff in the final. Eventually, though, it was the Sreenidhian Thunderbolts that took the title by winning their sixth match with the last putt of the competition on the 18^th hole.

Victory for Thunderbolts was the icing on the cake for the delighted team from Sreenidhi University. The modern centre of learning excellence has poured its heart into the sport, supporting various athletic endeavours. Dr. Katikaneni Taher Mahi, Chairman of the Education group acknowledged the various contributions that helped them host this edition of the premier golf tournament in the city.
