“AU to start Incubation center very soon” Says VC Prof Prasad Reddy in Webinar on ‘Innovation & Leadership’

‘Very soon Andhra University on a tie up with Software Technology Park of India (STPI) which is coming with an investment of Rs 40 cr is setting up an Incubation center in AU campus to support several Start UP Ventures in Technology, Marine, Pharma and Agriculture sectors’ Said Vice Chancellor Dr Prasad Reddy in a Webinar conducted by Andhra University Association (AAA) on Sunday, 18 Oct 2020. Prof Prasad Reddy also said that Andhra University will use and establish innovative  methods in implementing the new Education policy given by Govt of India.

Earlier Dr GM Rao, Chairman of GMR Group and also Founder Chairman of Andhra University Alumni Association (AAA) inaugurated the First Webinar being organized by AAA and said that Covid crisis taught several lessons to the world and changed the Govt Policies, Marketing or Banking procedures, Office practices etc. DR GM Rao also said that Post Covid, new market is emerging which is purely come on innovation and creativity and only people with creativity will survive and thrive in the new Normal condition DR GM Rao explained on how products like Black berry vanished from market because of rigidness in the product or company policies and advised everyone to not only to innovate but also to lead the innovation.

Dr Rao Tadepalli, an Alumni from AU, currently is Chief Information Officer in Siebels, Las Angeles, USA, a well known person in IT sector as an Innovation Leader, Start Up Mentor etc made a very interesting  and thought provoking and educative presentation on ‘Innovation & Leadership’, the First Webinar to a globally present AAA members and well wishers. Dr Rao explained that on how leadership is different from management and how leaders should go in for innovation giving examples and connected stories. He said that in USA Schools encourage students to ask questions where as Indian Schools don’t  encourage and Innovation should start from schools and  from young age. He concluded his session with a quote“ Mind is like Parachute and it works only when it is opened”

Earlier Prof B. Satyanarayana, former VC, Andhra University, Chairman, AAA now welcomed the gathering and informed that AAA is planning a series of Webinars starting the present one. Prof Mohan VenkatRam, Gen Secretary, AAA, Dr K Kumar Raja, Joint Secretary, AAA and Mrs Bhivana Chakravarthi also spoke in the webinar.
