TAGKC Community Update – బతుకమ్మ & దసరా శుభకాంక్షలు

Happy Navratri to you and your family members! Hope all of you are staying safe and spending precious time with your family. As you’re already aware, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has turned our lives around, and given the current forecast, it’s even more vital to limit social contact and avoid social gatherings.
We are reaching out to inform you that the TAGKC Executive Committee & Board have made a difficult decision not to celebrate the Bathukamma Event (Vijayadashami Celebrations) this year. Every TAGKC Batukamma Event is celebrated with much grandeur and joy and as much as we hoped to do it this year, the safety of our community took a higher priority over this. While we know this is disappointing, we hope you can understand the steps we’re taking to help keep our community and it’s members safe.
To maintain the continuity of our Bathukamma tradition, we will have “Puja rituals” performed by one of our priests in a minimalistic way, this Saturday, 10/24. Please note, to limit people there are only a few volunteers who will be helping with the puja.
We thank you for your trust in us and We wish you much happiness and Blessings of Goddess Durga. We hope to see you all and celebrate together once this is over!
