Warangal Flood relief efforts by T.A.T.A and NYTTA

The Storm Maha caused devastation in Warangal and Hanumakonda areas. Many of the low lying areas are partially or fully submerged leaving people stranded and without daily supplies. .
On receiving an SOS call for help, New York Telangana Telugu Association, NYTTA along with Telangana American Telugu Association T.A.T.A has jumped into the relief operations. Within 24 hours we have formed a ground level team Warangal for procuring, packaging the relief supplies and the first batch was sent between 19th August and 21th August. About 40 families stuck in the flood waters near Bharadrakali Temple Warangal have been provided with a week’s worth of groceries. Vardhan Ashram and a visually challenged children’s hostel were also assisted in the camp. Bharath Madadi, President of Telangana American Telugu Association (T.A.T.A), founded by Sri Pailla Malla Reddy garu, an Industrialist and Philanthropist from New York , Srinivas Guduru Chairman of New York Telangana Telugu Association(NYTTA) New York coordinated the relief work. Vardhan Ashram volunteers helped the camp.
Understand the storm may cause heavy rains in Telangana for few more days. We are working on few other areas we received requests from but we urge you to let us know any of the flood affected areas in Warangal that need help. Time is of essence.
