T.A.T.A-Mega Convention Postponed Until Further Notice Due to Corona Virus
As you know T.A.T.A leadership has been closely monitoring the situation related to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) over the past several weeks. The safety of our T.A.T.A members and their families, attendees, convention center/hotel staff, vendors, artists, and volunteers is our greatest priority. After taking guidance from the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as public health officials from the State of New jersey, and after lengthy and thoughtful deliberations, T.A.T.A leadership has made the decision to postpone until further notice, the T.A.T.A Mega Convention that was scheduled to take place from May 22 to 24, 2020 at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center.
The decision was not made in haste. Multiple vendors and artists from India have recently decided to cancel their travel plans and countries across the world have either restricted their access to the USA or have had their access restricted. Currently, it appears the most reasonable means to aid in the mitigation of unintended infection and community transmission is social distancing and mitigating the transmission of this disease by avoiding large crowds. One thing is certain, this is not the end of the T.A.T.A.’s hopes of holding future conventions and when it is safe, we do intend to continue forward with our mission.
Thank you to the T.A.T.A CAC Committee, President, Board of Directors, Convener, Coordinators, Chairman/Chairwoman, Co-Chairs, members of all convention committees, Youth and volunteers who have dedicated so much time and work into preparing the T.A.T.A 2020 mega convention.
We will notify you with further updates as they become known. Thank you and please follow all CDC guidelines to stay healthy.
