Internshala and TASK to organise Internship Day in Telangana
To felicitate colleges with the best internship record
India’s leading internship and training platform, Internshala, and Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) announced today that together they would be conducting the Internship Day in Hyderabad to felicitate colleges with the best internship record. The event is meant to acknowledge the colleges in Telangana who have made remarkable efforts in helping their students secure internships during the months of April – July. This year, the event will be held on 11th August 2018 in Hyderabad.
TASK is a not-for-profit organisation established by Telangana government to provide a platform between government, academia and industry to enhance the employability quotient of youth in the state. In August 2016, TASK partnered with Internshala to facilitate internships for students in the state. As of now, over 40,000 students from the colleges registered with TASK are seeking internships on Internshala and to further promote the culture of internships among the student and the college community, TASK will recognise the colleges which are taking significant steps to help their students, the release added.
CEO, TASK, Sujiv Nair,said, “Internships help students develop their practical skills and land their dream job. We realized that it is a powerful tool to improve employability among the students and through the Internship Day, we hope to further promote the culture of internshipsamong the colleges and students while appreciating the efforts which the Training and Placement departments put in to give a better future for the students.”
Internshala, with help from TASK, will assist all the colleges in registering their students on Internshala and will provide them with internship opportunities throughout the summer of 2018 and make all necessary resources available to them. The colleges from where the maximum number of students get selected for internships on Internshala will be recognized in the event.
Internshala was founded in 2010 and provides internship and training opportunities to over 2.5 million students registered with it. Students can find internships in a diverse range of fields including engineering, management, applied arts, science, law, design, hotel management, architecture, and so forth. On Internshala, students can also learn 15+ industry relevant skills through online trainings.
