TAL Help for International Students in London
Telugu Association of London (TAL) has organised a programme to help International Students living in and around London affected by the Covid-19 situation by distributing essential grocery kits. The help which was open to all international students regardless of their country of origin has taken place in Eastham, London on Thursday, 14th May 2020.
Through this programme, TAL was able to help nearly 400 students who were affected because of the extended lockdown.
TAL representatives, Mr. Ravi Mocherla and Mr. Satyendra Pagadala have overseen the entire programme and distributed these kits to students with help of other TAL volunteers.
P.R. Siva Kumar – Owner of Saravan Bhavan Group of restaurants, Reka Vikky – Saravana Bhavan (UK), and Suresh Kumar – Sakthi Stores also participated in the event. Many students who received the grocery kits expressed their gratitude and said the kit helps them greatly during the current situation.
TAL Chairman Mr. Sridhar Somisetty said, TAL always comes forward to support the community when needed and is working to organise more of these programmes at various other London locations in the coming days and weeks. He requested all students to reach TAL for further help. Ravi Mocherla thanked all generous donors who supported this campaign.
