TANA AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE – CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The Telugu Association of North America (or TANA, as it is well known), the oldest and biggest Indo – American organization in North America, aims to identify and address the social, cultural, and educational needs of the North American Telugu Community in particular and Telugu people in general.

TANA has a tradition of recognizing and celebrating the excellent achievements of and contributions made by people of Telugu origin residing in North America. Accordingly, TANA will present the Awards of Excellence and Meritorious Achievement on July 3rd, 2025, at the Awards Banquet during the 24th TANA Conference in Detroit, MI.

These Awards recognize excellence in various fields or those who achieved a high order of recognition in their chosen fields – including but not limited to Education, Sports, Literature, Arts, Science and Technology, Medicine, Business and Entrepreneurship, Politics, Other professions and activities, Community service, and Service to TANA.

TANA Awards Committee are requesting nominations for the Awards of Excellence and

Meritorious Achievement.

Nominations should include the following information:

• Name, Email address, and phone number of the nominator.
• Name, Email address, and phone number of the nominee.
• Reasons for nomination, including comprehensive information regarding the
• nominee’s achievements as a summary
• Profile of the Nominee
• Photograph of Nominee in good high resolution

Please note:

• Only residents of North America are eligible for the TANA Awards of Excellence.
• Nominations for these awards can be made only by members of TANA. However, the nominee does not need to be a member of TANA.
• Previous recipients of TANA Awards for Excellence will not be considered again in the same category.
• Award recipients expected to be present at the event to receive their award. In case of exceptional circumstances, the recipient should inform the Awards committee in advance.
