Sri City Commemorates 75th Republic Day with Grand Celebration

Celebrating the 75th Republic Day, Sri City witnessed a vibrant atmosphere as the community came together with passion and pride. The day unfolded with a grand ceremony at the Business Centre lawns, where the national flag was unfurled by Mr. M.R. Saravanaa Kumar, District Judge (retired), followed by a captivating ceremonial parade by the Sri City security force.
Mr. Saravanaa Kumar spoke to the audience, emphasising the importance of remembering the sacrifices of freedom fighters and encouraging everyone to uphold the principles embedded in the Indian Constitution. He underscored the need for citizens to be conscious of their constitutional rights and responsibilities. He commended the significant progress of Sri City, highlighting its contribution to regional development and the creation of employment opportunities.
Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director of Sri City, conveyed heartfelt ‘Republic Day greetings’ to the community in a message, and stated,“I’m glad to say that Sri City has been passionately contributing to India’s ‘Atmanirbhar strategy,’ embracing the ‘Make in India’ ambition, and championing the ‘Nari Shakhti’ (women empowerment) movement, boosting the Government of India’s ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’ vision.”
Mr. Jagadish Nayak, Dy. Superintendent of Police, Sri City, addressed the gathering and expressed his appreciation for the able assistance provided by Sri City Security teams in maintaining law and order and regulating traffic in the city. He called upon all the stakeholders to cooperate with the police in making Sri City the ‘safest’ place to live.
Mr. Y. Ramesh, Assistant General Manager, Security & Vigilance, welcomed the gathering and introduced the guest of honour. Mr. C. Rameshkumar, Vice President (Customer Relations), provided insights into the unique features and achievements of the thriving industrial hub.
The chief guest presented cash prizes to select security guards in acknowledgment of their outstanding services. Enhancing the celebratory atmosphere, female groups from the adjacent Mallavaripalem (West) and Arur village captivated the audience with traditional rural folk dances and ‘Kolaatam’. A group of children showcased their proficiency in stick fighting, (Karra Samu’). Besides the Sri City employees, officials from industrial units, members of the public from the neighbouring villages, and school students actively participated in the event.
The spirit of Republic Day resonated throughout Sri City, with flag hoisting ceremonies held at the Development Commissioner’s office, Krea University, IIIT, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, and 17 government schools. Sri City Foundation actively supported the schools in organising engaging events and distributing cookies to all students.
