Trainee Assistant Commissioners Visited Sri City on Study Tour

A 21‑member team of Trainee Assistant Commissioners from the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, led by Mr. Murali Krishna, Joint Commissioner, State Taxes (GST), visited Sri City on a study tour. They were warmly received by Mr. C. Ramesh Kumar, Vice President (Customer Relations).
Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director, expressed pride in Sri City’s recognition as a national benchmark. “It is an honour to see our implementation model being studied by bureaucrats and administrators, and we are pleased to share our journey and experiences with them,” he remarked.
During the briefing session, officials were presented with a detailed overview of Sri City’s development journey, its challenges, and the hallmark features of its world‑class infrastructure. The presentation highlighted Sri City’s pioneering role in the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat missions, showcasing how the hub has successfully transformed the local agrarian economy into an industrial powerhouse with strong community participation. In addition, Sri City’s significant contribution to the national exchequer through taxes, export duties, and related revenues was underscored, reinforcing its role as both an economic engine and a responsible corporate citizen.
The visiting officials lauded Sri City’s exemplary planning, state‑of‑the‑art infrastructure, and commitment to sustainable growth. They admired its investor‑friendly ecosystem and seamless execution, describing Sri City as a true model of urban and industrial development that offers an ideal environment for enterprises and residents alike..
Their tour included interactive discussions with Sri City officials and visits to major production facilities, including Varun Beverages (PepsiCo), Blue Star, and Ball Corporation. The study tour reinforced Sri City’s growing reputation as a benchmark for sustainable urban development and underscored its influential role in shaping India’s economic future.
