Earth Day Cleanup Organized by ATA New Jersey Chapter

In celebration of World Earth Day, the American Telugu Association (ATA) – New Jersey Chapter successfully conducted an “Earth Day Cleanup” event in South Brunswick Township. Around 50 enthusiastic children and their parents actively participated in this environmental initiative.
ATA New Jersey Regional Coordinators Mr. Krishnamohan Mule, Mr. Pradeep Katta, Mr. Prasad Akula, and Women’s Regional Chair Ms. Geetha Reddy took part in the event and extended heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers, stating, “This event’s success was only possible due to your dedicated time and effort.”
The coordinators also expressed special gratitude to ATA leadership for their support in organizing this meaningful program, including ATA President Mr. Jayanth Challa, President-Elect Mr. Satish Ramasahayam, Treasurer Mr. Sreekanth Gudipati, and Board of Trustees members Mr. Srinivas Dargula, Mr. Vinod Koduru, Mr. Santosh Reddy Koram, Mr. Vijay Kunduru, and senior leaders Dr. Parashuram Pinnapureddy, Mr. Sharath Vemula, Mr. Raghuveer Reddy, Mr. Ravinder Guduru, Mr. Vijay Goli, Mr. Ramesh Maganti, Mr. Ravi Peddi, Membership Chair Mr. Sreekanth Tummala, and Regional Director Mr. Vilas Reddy Jambula.
Mr. Sharath Vemula emphasized the need to spread awareness about environmental responsibility. Mr. Krishnamohan Mule shared that cleanliness is not just about personal hygiene but also about maintaining clean surroundings and setting an example for future generations.
Mr. Vilas Reddy Jambula highlighted that increasing heat, biodiversity loss, ozone depletion, and urban pollution can only be addressed if individuals take responsibility and make tree planting a habit.
Speaking on behalf of the organizing team, Mr. Pradeep Katta, Mr. Vijay Goli, and Mr. Prasad Akula expressed hope that ATA New Jersey would continue organizing similar socially responsible programs in the future.
The youth team also played an inspiring role in the cleanup, with active participation from Ishita Mule, Rishita Jambula, Deeksha Katta, Ishani Koram, and Shanmukhapriya Mule.
The main goal of the initiative was to raise awareness about climate change, pollution, and environmental protection while inspiring children to become responsible citizens. Events like this plant the seed of social responsibility and environmental consciousness at a young age.
