Ramayana Trailer Gets New Release Dates; International Launch First
The wait for the Ramayana trailer finally has a new timeline. After postponing the trailer at the last minute, the makers have reportedly decided to unveil it in select international markets on July 28, followed by its official India release on July 30. An official announcement is expected soon.
The trailer was originally scheduled for a worldwide digital launch on July 24, along with a grand event at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. However, the plans were called off at the last moment.
Producer Namit Malhotra later revealed that the delay was due to a newly signed global distribution deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment. As part of the agreement, Sony will handle the film’s international release outside India, prompting the team to redesign its global promotional strategy.
While some fans questioned the last-minute postponement despite the distribution deal, industry insiders believe the revised plan is aimed at maximizing the film’s worldwide reach.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. The first installment is slated for a Diwali release this year, with the second part arriving on Diwali next year.
