Aspari (Kurnool District): Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced that the Sanjeevani public health programme, aimed at safeguarding the health of every citizen, will be implemented across the state from August.

Addressing a public meeting at Aspari in Alur Assembly constituency on Saturday, the Chief Minister explained the unique features of the technology-enabled Sanjeevani project, which is designed to transform healthcare delivery. He said that at a time when education and healthcare account for the highest expenditure for most families, the government has designed Sanjeevani to take responsibility for the health of every citizen. Under the programme, every individual will receive a Digital Health Profile, while all family members will be issued ABHA Health IDs. Healthcare information from Primary Health Centres to State-level institutions will be integrated into a single digital platform.

The Chief Minister said Sanjeevani is not limited to treating illnesses after they occur, but focuses equally on predicting diseases, preventing them through early detection and ensuring effective treatment whenever required.He noted that reports indicate nearly 80 lakh people in the State are suffering from serious illnesses and the government is introducing Sanjeevani to reduce this burden.The integrated digital platform will bring together all health services.

He said the project will incorporate AI-based medical assistance, telemedicine, remote healthcare, predictive analytics and digital nerve centres. Through the Sanjeevani Citizen Wellness App, people will be able to book appointments with doctors and access their medical records anytime.

The Chief Minister encouraged people to adopt nutritious food habits, yoga, meditation, regular exercise and healthy lifestyles. The Chief Minister said the government is giving equal importance to public welfare along with healthcare.

Referring to land resurvey the Chief Minister said the ongoing resurvey is securing all land records using blockchain technology. The government is issuing Pattadar Passbooks on the 9th of every month and expects to complete the statewide resurvey by March next year.

The Chief Minister also announced that production at the Kadapa Steel Plant is targeted to begin by 2028. Rayalaseema will be developed into a horticulture and industrial hub with Rs 1 lakh crore in public and private investments. He said the Centre’s approval for the Kurnool–Ballari railway line is a welcome development.

Referring to reduced rainfall due to the El Niño effect, the Chief Minister advised farmers to use water judiciously. He said the Jala Dhara programme is being implemented to improve groundwater levels and assured that the Vedavathi Project would be completed to provide irrigation to the region.The Vedavathi Lift Irrigation Scheme, estimated at Rs 1,768 crore, will be completed.

After the public meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the performance of the district administration from the same venue and congratulated officials for their good work.He said the Coalition Government is committed to delivering good governance and that effective implementation at the grassroots level is essential to benefit the people.

The Chief Minister noted that a Chief Minister is not merely someone who sits in the Secretariat. A Chief Minister must remain a common man among the people.He added that this is why he visits people every month, understands their problems firsthand and formulates public policies to address them.
