We are calling off the protests.. CJP’s key announcement

The main demand—that Dharmendra Pradhan resign, taking responsibility for the NEET leak issue—has been fulfilled. Furthermore, with the Center agreeing to the rest of the demands put forward by the CJP, the CJP announced that it is calling off its protests. Following Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, CJP representatives held another round of talks with the Center.

It was only after the talks that the CJP representatives announced the withdrawal of the protests. Afterwards, they spoke to the media alongside Union Ministers JP Nadda and Dr. Jitendra Singh. On this occasion, they stated that they requested the Center to drop the cases registered against the protesters. CJP mentioned that they asked for the dismissal of cases registered not just in Delhi, but across the entire country. They said the Center assured them that the cases would be withdrawn within four days and promised there would be no harassment in the future. They also stated that the Center agreed to provide compensation to the families of those who committed suicide due to the NEET leak and to bring radical changes to the education system.

Cases will be withdrawn: JP Nadda

Union Minister JP Nadda stated that they have agreed to drop the cases filed against the protesters. He said that cases registered in Delhi and BJP-ruled states will be withdrawn. He reiterated that they have already pledged to bring radical changes to the education system and examinations, and assured that no one will be harassed with cases in the future. He added that they will stand by the families of the students who committed suicide.
