Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller Thanks Maryland Voters Following Reelection Victory
Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller expressed her deep gratitude to Maryland voters following the reelection of the Moore–Miller administration, reflecting on the trust placed in their leadership and the work that lies ahead.
“I am deeply grateful to Marylanders for placing their trust in Governor Wes Moore and me for another four years.
This victory belongs to the dedicated volunteers who knocked on doors, made phone calls, and gave so generously of their time. To the supporters and donors who stood with us and believed in us. And to every Marylander who made their voice heard at the ballot box.
When I came to America at the age of seven, I didn’t speak English. My family didn’t have wealth or powerful connections. I know what it means to be underestimated, overlooked, and to work harder to be heard.
That’s why I’ve always believed the underdog deserves someone in their corner.
That belief has guided me throughout my life, from my career as a transportation engineer to my service in the Maryland General Assembly and now as Lieutenant Governor.
Over the past four years, Governor Moore and I have worked to build a Maryland where opportunity is not determined by circumstance, where families have a fair shot, and where government works for the people it serves.
We’ve made meaningful progress, but there is still much to do. Governor Moore and I are ready to get back to work.
I believe deeply in Maryland, in its people, and in the possibilities that lie ahead.
Thank you for believing in us and giving us the privilege of continuing to serve you.
I look forward to all that lies ahead.”
