LATA Car Rally Salutes Essential Workers
LATA THANK all our Essential Workers, who are real HEROS in keeping our community safe and functioning/operating during this COVID-19 pandemic situation. Most of us rightly stayed home and practiced safe distancing. However the essential workers and businesses continued to operate in this risky situation. They have families too, yet they worked extended hours during panic times when people rushed to the grocery stores.
Being the center of the Los Angeles area, LATA has conducted several events closer to the Artesia. As a symbolic gesture to appreciate all the essential workers, we picked the business area on Pioneer Blvd for a car rally. We also would like to thank Mayor and city council-member Ali Sajjad Taj for joining us at the rally. We want to thank the officials and police of all the cities, counties and the state. LATA would like to thank all the volunteers who made this event possible.
We did a Car rally on 05/23 Saturday in city of Artesia to show our support for Frontline and Essential Workers by driving on streets of Artesia , greeting them with honks and Thank you signs. The businesses and essential workers appreciated this gesture by coming out and waiving the hands. Please note that, we did not announce this rally ahead of time, and only included a few volunteers to ensure there is no disruption to the businesses and safety of everyone. We missed rest of our volunteers, and we hope to see you all soon at the next event.
On this occasion, we would like to urge all the community members to support local businesses by shopping there. We are listing few businesses as a sample (sorry if we missed your name)….Pista House, Chups, Bhimas, Anjappar, Paradise Biryani, Ambala Cash &Carry, Pioneer Cash & Carry, Namaste Plaza and others.
