YCP Criticizes Andhra Pradesh Coalition Government for Unmet Promises

The YCP has sharply criticized Andhra Pradesh’s coalition government for failing to deliver on key election campaign promises after six months in power. Party president Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his dissatisfaction in a detailed tweet, while YCP spokesperson Shyamala highlighted significant concerns during a media briefing.
Shyamala notably addressed Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s controversial “Seize the Ship” remarks, sarcastically asking that the coalition government instead “seize their promises” and fulfill their electoral promises. She also advocated for criminal charges against leaders, for failing to keep pledges made to the people.
A prominent source of criticism was the government’s failure to establish welfare initiatives, particularly for women. Shyamala criticized the coalition for failing to deliver on its promise to offer ₹1,500 per month to women aged 18-59 under the ‘Aadabidda Nidhi’ initiative. The initiative, with an estimated annual cost of ₹37,313 crore, was a significant pledge during the election campaign. However, its non-implementation has led to widespread public displeasure.
Shyamala also highlighted the abandonment of welfare programs successfully executed during Jagan’s tenure, accusing the coalition government of neglecting public issues and making unrealistic promises to gain votes. She expressed concern over the government’s silence on several critical matters, particularly those impacting women’s welfare.
In conclusion, Shyamala emphasized that the coalition government’s failure to fulfill its promises was not only a reflection of its inefficiency but also a breach of public trust.
