Chiranjeevi’s Silence on Vishwambhara Raises Questions: Coincidence or Strategy?
— Surya Prakash Josyula
Megastar Chiranjeevi not talking about a movie has now become news in itself. And this happened at an event organized by UV Creations. Chiranjeevi spoke openly about his new film and even revealed its title. But he did not say a word about another big film being made by the same banner for a long time.
That film is Vishwambhara. So, where exactly is Vishwambhara?
Chiranjeevi attended the success meet of Korean Kanakaraju, produced by UV Creations. He spoke about his upcoming film with director Bobby Kolli and shared several updates. He also revealed the title of the film as Kadiri.
But surprisingly, there was no mention of Vishwambhara anywhere on the stage. Chiranjeevi did not bring it up even once. The UV Creations team also remained silent about the film.
Usually, when a big-budget film is in the news, the makers at least give a small update about its release. But this time, there was nothing. And that silence has only increased curiosity among fans.
Because Vishwambhara is not an ordinary film.
The fantasy adventure is directed by Vassishta, who delivered a big hit with Bimbisara, and stars Trisha as the female lead. It is also one of the most expensive films in Chiranjeevi’s career.
The film has been in production for more than two years. For some time now, there have also been reports that the makers are planning to release Vishwambhara during the Dasara festival. Industry sources say the VFX work is also moving ahead quickly.
But if the film is really being planned for Dasara, one question naturally comes up.
Why did Chiranjeevi not mention it at the event?
Is the problem with the story or the visuals?
The main issue with Vishwambhara appears to be its visuals.
The film is set in a huge fantasy world, so VFX plays a very important role. However, the visuals in the teaser received criticism earlier. Following that, the makers reportedly decided to rework the VFX on a large scale.
That is where the film’s journey seems to have slowed down.
Since then, there have been very few official updates. There is still no clear release date, and the makers have not officially confirmed when the film will arrive. Naturally, this has created doubts among fans.
There is talk in industry circles about a Dasara release. But there is still no official announcement. So, for now, it has to be treated as industry talk rather than confirmed news.
But Chiranjeevi’s silence has added another interesting angle to the story.
At an event hosted by the same production house, the Megastar spoke about his new film Kadiri and even announced its title. But he completely skipped Vishwambhara.
Was it just a coincidence?
Or is Chiranjeevi deliberately avoiding creating more hype until the VFX work is fully ready?
Or does the team itself still not have complete clarity about the Dasara release?
For now, nobody has a clear answer.
One thing, however, is certain. Fans are no longer looking for another poster or another glimpse of Vishwambhara. They want one thing — a clear release date.
After more than two years of waiting, the big question is when Chiranjeevi and the team will finally tell fans that Vishwambhara has reached its destination.
Whatever the reason behind the silence, industry sources claim that the VFX work is now moving at a fast pace. The makers are reportedly working on it on a war footing, with a Dasara release as the target.
So, this silence may not necessarily mean that Vishwambhara has stopped.
Sometimes, the sea becomes completely silent just before the storm.
