Rajasthan Sows Seeds of Innovation as INR 200 Crore MoUs Signed at Hyderabad Agri Investor Meet
HYDERABAD : In a strategic move to reposition Rajasthan as a premier global destination for agricultural technology and innovation, the Government of Rajasthan successfully hosted the Hyderabad Investor Meet under the banner of the ‘Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM) – 2026’. Held at the Park Hyatt, the event served as a high-octane prelude to the main conference scheduled for later this month in Jaipur.
The meet culminated in a la ndmark achievement with the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) valued at INR 200 crore. These agreements, involving premier institutions like ICRISAT and various private sector leaders, underscore a growing confidence in Rajasthan’s transition from a traditional agrarian state to a tech-driven agricultural powerhouse.
A Vision for Modern Agriculture:
Presiding as the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasized that Rajasthan is no longer just “the land of kings” but is fast becoming the “land of opportunities” for the agritech sector.
“Rajasthan is rapidly moving beyond traditional agriculture towards a technology-driven, innovation-led, and investment-enabled agricultural economy,” the Chief Minister stated. “We invite global investors to explore our vast landscape in food processing, digital agriculture, and rural infrastructure.”
Supporting this vision, Shri Joraram Kumawat (Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy) and Shri Gautam Kumar Dak (Minister of State for Co-operation) highlighted the state’s commitment to empowering livestock owners and farmers through modern cooperative frameworks and rural innovation.
Technological Interventions and Expert Insights:
A core highlight of the event was a high-level panel discussion titled “Possibilities of IT Intervention and Technological Innovation in Agriculture.” Chaired by Ms. Manju Rajpal, Principal Secretary of Agriculture & Horticulture, the session featured heavyweights from industry and research, including:
- Coromandel International & ITC Limited
- ICAR & ICRISAT
- T-Hub & Marut Drones
The experts delved into the transformative potential of drone technology, smart farming, and data-driven crop management, identifying Rajasthan as a fertile ground for startups and established firms to pilot and scale sustainable solutions.
Building Bridges Through One-on-One Engagements:
The meet was not merely a platform for speeches; it facilitated rigorous business-to-government (B2G) interactions. Senior officials, including ACS Shri Shikhar Agarwal and Rajasthan Foundation Commissioner Dr. Manisha Arora, led one-on-one sessions with industry leaders. These discussions focused on streamlining supply chains, enhancing dairy production, and integrating AI-based solutions into Rajasthan’s vast agricultural tracts.
The Road to Jaipur and GRAM 2026:
The Hyderabad meet is part of a nationwide roadshow that has already touched Jaipur, New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad. These regional summits are building significant momentum for the main GRAM 2026 conference, which will take place in Jaipur from May 23 to 25, 2026.
As Shri Subroto Gees, Co-Chairman of the FICCI National Agriculture Committee, noted in his concluding remarks: “Rajasthan is emerging as a key center of the global agritech transformation. Platforms like GRAM 2026 are essential for creating the long-term partnerships that will define the future of food security and sustainable growth in India.”
