NephroPlus Launches NIDA to Build Global Pipeline of Dialysis-Trained Nurses

NephroPlus, Asia’s largest dialysis network, has announced the launch of the NephroPlus International Dialysis Academy (NIDA), an initiative designed to prepare nursing graduates in India and the Philippines for specialized careers in dialysis care and international deployment. The first NIDA nodal center was inaugurated at NephroPlus’s standalone dialysis center in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, by Group CEO Rohit Singh, with a second center scheduled to open in Quezon City, Philippines, in November 2026. The academy offers a structured pathway that combines classroom learning, simulation-based training, supervised clinical experience, mentorship, certification support, and international licensing preparation, enabling eligible graduates to be considered for deployment within NephroPlus’s international network.

Program Structure and Training Tracks:
In India, the Freshers Track runs for 24 months, consisting of three months of classroom and simulation training followed by 21 months of supervised clinical training across the NephroPlus network. In the Philippines, the program begins with two weeks of clinical classroom training followed by supervised on-the-job training across local NephroPlus centers. The curriculum is structured to cover renal and dialysis science, clinical management, patient care, and global workplace readiness.

Highlighting the acute global shortage of skilled renal-care manpower, Rohit Singh noted that NIDA provides a structured curriculum that combines specialized training, hands-on clinical exposure, and coaching in soft skills and language to ensure assured international placements. Kamal D Shah, co-founder of NephroPlus, emphasized that developing clinical talent is crucial for delivering high-quality patient care, noting that the academy builds upon the organization’s long-standing focus on establishing specialized clinical capabilities and meaningful professional pathways for nurses. Operating initially through nodal centers in Hyderabad and Quezon City, NIDA plans to expand in a phased, demand-led manner alongside the growth of NephroPlus’s international footprint.
