Marriott International Launches Project Prarambh to Empower India’s Youth with Hospitality Careers

Marriott International has launched Project Prarambh, an initiative guided by its Serve 360 sustainability and social impact framework, aimed at creating pathways to formal employment and long-term careers in the hospitality sector for young people from vulnerable communities across India. Developed in partnership with The Job Plus and the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), the program focuses on supporting youth aged 18 to 30 through industry-relevant training, workplace exposure, and mentorship to help them smoothly enter the formal workforce.

Objectives, Scope, and Training Structure:
Over the next two to three years, Project Prarambh aims to train 500 young people, equipping them with the necessary skills, confidence, and readiness to pursue sustainable careers in hospitality. Delivered through a wide network of training partners across the country, the initiative bridges the gap between talent and the organized workforce by providing foundational support, regular income opportunities, and enhanced financial independence for beneficiaries and their families.
