Sri City community celebrates National Safety Day 

The Sri City community celebrated the 53rd National Safety Day on Monday, emphasising the paramount importance of safety in workplaces and beyond. The event served as the culmination of a week-long safety initiative, drawing active participation from industrial workers, employees, and students from neighbouring schools. 

Mr. Satish Kamat, President (Operations) raised the safety flag and administered the pledge. Addressing the audience, he underscored the imperative of adhering to safety protocols at all levels and urged everyone to remain vigilant.

Underscoring the importance of safety, Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director, Sri City in a message stated, "On this National Safety Day, let us commit to fostering a culture of safety in our communities, prioritising safety measures in workplaces, public spaces, and on roads. By raising awareness and instilling a safety-conscious mindset, we strive towards achieving a zero-accident rate and enhancing overall process safety."

To sustain engagement and enthusiasm throughout the celebrations, a series of safety-themed competitions were organised in which students of Chinmaya vidyalaya, ZPHS, Irugulam and Madanapalem, ACCORD School, and employees took part actively. Mr. N. Sekhar, Vice President (Projects) and Mr. Y. Ramesh, AGM, Security & Vigilance gave away prizes to the winners, and addressed the gathering. Mr. K. Narendra Babu, Manager of Safety, adeptly coordinated the week-long festivities.

The commemoration of National Safety Day underscores Sri City's unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of safety, ensuring the well-being of all stakeholders within its vibrant community.
