Bay Area Telugu Association Celebration Ugadi Sambaralu in a grand way!!

Bay Area Telugu Association (BATA)’s annual “flagship” event and the most popular event in the Bay Area Telugu community, “శ్రీవిశ్వావసు” నామసంవత్సర ఉగాదిసంబరాలు (Ugadi Sambaralu)was a grand success held at India Community Center, Milpitas, CA. It was well attended by over 2,000 + guests throughout the day. The event started at 9:00 AM with Youth Talent Show (Dancing& Singing), continued till 11:00PM with an array of cultural programs.
There was huge support from the business community. The event was Presented by Sanjiv Gupta CPA, Powered by realtor Nagaraj Anniah, Gold Sponsorswere Srini Goli Real estates, PNG Jewelers, Other sponsors include Insta Service, Shikha Kapur (Realtor), MCS Master Class, Vachi Silks, Paatasala (telugu school)&Mahakaleshwar Temple.
The venue decorations captured the Telugu New Year, Ugadi spirit. The entry of the venue was packed with vendor tables with variety of Indian traditional jewelry, clothing, real estate, financial & tax services and education. Ugadi Pachadi was served to mark the beginning of the Telugu New Year.
There was an overwhelming response to the competitions this year andthey were conducted in two separate halls with over 500+ kids enthusiastically participating in classical, folk/ film singing& dancing.
The main cultural program started at 5:00 pm. Vijaya Aasuri (BATA Advisor) warmly welcomed all the guests and the curtains opened to showcase performances by over 250 + kids covering dance forms of world, BATA cultural team conducted practices in various locations.

Various community organization leaders & elected officials congratulated BATA team, for putting together a wonderful program and congratulations them in preserving our culture, heritage and traditions to the next generations.
President Volunteer service Awards (PVSA) were conferred to young volunteers who volunteered over the last year.It is a national award created by the White House to recognize valuable contributions.
Kondal Komaragiri (President) thanked all the BATA volunteers for their hard work and for making the event a grand success& he thanked BATA committee for their support over the last 2 years.

TANA committee members Venkat Kogantiand others attended the event& invited them to the upcoming TANA conference in Jul 2025 (Detroit).
Paatasala team was recognized on this occasion; Paatasala is an initiative by BATA, TANA &Telugu Times to promote and teach Telugu language; the teachers & coordinators were introduced.
