Marking a major milestone in its two-decade-long collaborative partnership with the State, the Suzlon Group has officially broken ground on 1,325 MW of wind energy projects in the Ananthapuramu region of Andhra Pradesh. The large-scale initiative is projected to attract ₹10,500 crores in investments and generate 1,600 direct and indirect green jobs, strongly supporting the State’s overarching vision of a Viksit Andhra Pradesh.
The high-profile groundbreaking ceremony was graced by Shri Nara Lokesh, Hon’ble Minister for HRD, IT, Electronics & Communications, and RTG, Government of Andhra Pradesh, alongside Shri Girish Tanti, Co-Founder of Suzlon Group, senior state government officials, industry leaders, and key customers.
Expanding Footprint and Manufacturing Prowess:

With this latest development, Suzlon has catalyzed approximately ₹15,500 crores in total investments across the State and is currently executing around 1,600 MW of wind projects.
At the core of this operational strength is Suzlon’s state-of-the-art blade manufacturing facility in Ananthapuramu. The plant now operates with four active production lines, boasting an annual capacity of 1,260 MW and directly or indirectly supporting over 1,200 green jobs. Beyond manufacturing infrastructure, Suzlon is actively driving India’s largest green-skilling initiative, having trained 12,000 young individuals, including 3,000 women, through dedicated skill development labs established in Uravakonda and Vijayawada.
