Sri City Hosts Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav Programmes on Leadership, Values and Spiritual Heritage
H.H. Swami Mitrananda highlights Bhagavad Gita’s relevance to modern leadership through “Battlefield to Boardroom”
“Temple on Wheels” exhibition draws enthusiastic response from Sri City community
Sri City, May 16, 2026: As part of the nationwide Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav celebrations commemorating 75 years of the Chinmaya Movement, Sri City hosted a series of spiritually enriching programmes centred on leadership, values, youth inspiration, and India’s cultural heritage.
Sri City Managing Director Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy welcomed H.H. Swami Mitrananda, Resident Acharya, Chinmaya Mission, Chennai & North East, along with H.H. Swami Anukoolananda, Resident Director of Chinmaya International Residential School, Coimbatore; H.H. Swami Turiyananda, President of Kadapa Chinmaya Mission; and H.H. Swami Suveerananda, In-charge of Guntur & Visakhapatnam Chinmaya Mission. In his address, Dr. Sannareddy highlighted Chinmaya Mission’s remarkable contribution over the past 75 years towards spiritual awakening, value-based education, youth empowerment, and nation-building. He also thanked H.H. Swami Mitrananda for choosing Sri City as the first destination in Andhra Pradesh after entering from Tamil Nadu as part of the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra.
“Battlefield to Boardroom” Lecture
The highlight of the programme was the special lecture “Battlefield to Boardroom” by H.H. Swami Mitrananda, attended by industry leaders, professionals, employees, students, and members of Chinmaya Mission. Drawing parallels between the Bhagavad Gita and modern corporate life, he emphasised strategic clarity, ethical leadership, emotional balance, resilience, Nishkama Karma, and Dharma-based decision-making as essential qualities for navigating today’s professional challenges.
H.H. Swami Anukoolananda explained the purpose of the 295-day Amrit Yatra, aimed at spreading dynamic spirituality, life values, and the essence of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita while directly connecting with over 1.95 lakh people. H.H. Swami Turiyananda spoke on the importance of performing one’s duty with sincerity without attachment to results and introduced volunteers involved in youth empowerment initiatives.
“Temple on Wheels” Exhibition
As part of the Amrit Yatra, the “Temple on Wheels” mobile exhibition featuring sacred artefacts and memorabilia associated with Swami Chinmayananda received an overwhelming response from the Sri City community. Following the lecture, participants visited the exhibition and viewed the displays showcasing the life and teachings of Swami Chinmayananda.
Students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya also visited the exhibition and performed Guru Puja. Principal Smt. Bhuvaneswari said the Yatra offered students a valuable opportunity to understand India’s spiritual heritage and draw inspiration from Swami Chinmayananda’s disciplined, visionary, and service-oriented life.
