24th TANA Conference All Committee Meeting in Farmington Hills

The 24th TANA Conference All Committee was held in Farmington Hills today. Including core committees, more than 45 committees attended the meeting.

Sri Kakarala Chandrasekhara Rao, who served as TANA president from 1983-1985 unveiled the Conference Logo representing the theme “Tara TaraalaTelugudanam – Tarali Vache Yuvataram”. Conference committee members varying from ages 20 to 70 attended the unveiling event. Everyone applauded the theme and the logo representing it.

The meeting reflected every aspect of the theme. Youth committee reported that their campaign reached more than 10,000 Telugu youth across America and have received numerous applications for the youth committee positions. The youth committee announced the “Youth Convention (for those above 21)” which includes Youth Banquet, Youth Show, Forums, Youth Night, and Outdoor Day. The committee is confident of drawing more than 1,000 attendees to this specially priced Youth Convention.

Youth is also planning to conduct National Level Singing competitions like Telugu Indian Idol / Telugu Super Singer in US to promote the 2nd Generation Telugu Singers.

Additionally, a talented 2nd generation youth is coordinating the “Inaugural Song” which includes various genre dance forms including classical, semi-classical, folk and filmy. Talented dancers from across USA are expected to showcase their talent in this “Dance Drama”.

Recently, TANA Conference Core Committee members invited various political leaders from the two Telugu states and movie artists. They concluded the tour with a “Curtain Raiser” in Hyderabad, which uplifted the expectations on the 24th TANA Conference.

Various committees presented their progress. With all this positive momentum, the conference team is poised to announce a star-studded show with a talent mix from US and India by the end of April 2025. The core committee has announced a short 2-day extension to the discounted prices to encourage the committee registration, which is scheduled to end on Tuesday, April 9th, 2025.

The Finance Committee announced the policies and procedures that will promote transparency and accountability. At the end of this 3 hour long meeting, the core committee requested everyone to keep up with the momentum and plan for the biggest ever show in TANA history. The committee decided to meet every two weeks till the conference and concluded the meeting on a positive note.
