M1xchange Deepens Kerala Footprint to Enhance Digital Working Capital Access for MSMEs
M1xchange, an RBI-licensed Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS) platform, is expanding its presence in Kerala to accelerate the adoption of digital invoice financing among the state’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). As Kerala grows as a key hub for manufacturing, exports, logistics, and technology, the platform aims to provide faster, collateral-free working capital solutions. Currently, over 2,000 enterprises from Kerala utilize the platform, with state-level transactions accounting for nearly INR 12,000 crore of total volume. M1xchange is focusing on priority sectors such as manufacturing, food processing, healthcare, and logistics to further strengthen cash flows and business resilience.
Regulatory Tailwinds and Ecosystem Growth:
Recent regulatory developments have streamlined digital invoice financing across India:
Mandatory CPSE Onboarding: The Ministry of MSME directive requires all Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) to onboard RBI-authorized TReDS platforms to ensure timely invoice settlement.
RBI 2026 TReDS Master Directions: Removes mandatory seller-side due diligence for MSMEs while maintaining strict KYC and platform safeguards, enabling near-frictionless onboarding and faster financing.
Highlighting the state’s potential, Sundeep Mohindru, Promoter & Director of M1xchange, noted that Kerala’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and government initiatives are driving rising awareness of TReDS, helping businesses improve liquidity and scale with greater confidence.
Platform Reach and Small-to-Small Financing:
Globally, M1xchange has facilitated over INR 3,30,000 crore in invoice financing, onboarding more than 15,000 corporate anchors, 90,000 MSME vendors, and 80 financier partners. The platform also features the Small-to-Small Financing initiative, allowing Tier II and Tier III MSMEs to access early, collateral-free payments at competitive rates. Through its end-to-end digital infrastructure, M1xchange continues to bridge financing gaps across India’s trade, export, and service sectors.
