KRAFTON Unveils ‘Battlin’, India’s First Unified Esports Tournament Platform for BGMI
Video game publisher KRAFTON has officially launched Battlin, India’s first unified esports tournament platform designed to streamline discovery, entry, execution, and prize settlement for competitive gaming. Launching with a primary focus on Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Battlin addresses structural fragmentation in grassroots esports—replacing manual room ID sharing, third-party chat app registrations, and screenshot-based result verification with an end-to-end digital ecosystem. The platform enables competitive players to register for daily open tournaments without requiring personal invitations or industry contacts, while providing upfront visibility into reward structures and disbursement schedules.
Automated Infrastructure for Tournament Organizers:
Battlin unifies the complete operational lifecycle for tournament organizers, including creation, team registration, scheduling, automated bracket generation, room management, participant notifications, and prize distribution. By reducing administrative workflows, hosting a tournament is condensed from a multi-day process to a single evening. Crucially, reward disbursement is executed directly through the Battlin platform rather than individual match hosts to guarantee financial transparency. Individual players, content creators, educational institutions, gaming cafés, and professional esports organizations can host events using the same technical framework utilized for official tournaments.
Battlin Open Season 1 and Competition Tracks:
The platform’s commercial debut coincides with Battlin Open Season 1, offering over 5,000 tournament slots:
Registration Timeline: Open through November 1, 2026.
Tournament Schedule: Competition starts on November 2, 2026, concluding with the Track 2 Finale on November 29, 2026.
Track 1 Rewards: Features a prize pool of ₹5,00,000 along with a direct qualifying slot for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS).
Track 2 Rewards: Features a prize pool of ₹15,00,000.
All competitive events on Battlin rely strictly on skill-based performance. The platform explicitly omits wagering, staking, or betting mechanics.
Leadership Perspectives:
Highlighting the platform’s vision, James Yongkwan Kim, Lead – Battlin, KRAFTON, stated: “India has a strong base of competitive players and passionate communities, but the path from playing casually to competing seriously is often fragmented. With Battlin, we want to make competitive play more accessible – so a player can discover and join a tournament without depending on contacts or an invitation, and without travelling between cities to find one. By bringing tournament discovery, participation and transparent rewards together in one place, Battlin gives competitive players greater visibility, wider access to tournaments across India, and a clearer route from grassroots participation to recognition.”
