KRAFTON India Announces KIGI Cohort 4 to Expand Support for Game Developers
KRAFTON India has officially launched KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) Cohort 4, opening applications for emerging and established creators nationwide. While maintaining its founding commitment to early-stage teams and concepts, KIGI is widening its scope for the first time to back games that are further along in their development lifecycle. For mobile titles, this includes projects currently in beta or soft launch phases, while for PC games, it encompasses titles featuring a live Steam demo that are already generating encouraging community interest.
Leadership Perspectives on India’s Gaming Potential:
Anuj Sahani, Head of the KRAFTON India Incubator Program, highlighted that the initiative aims to guide both first-time innovators and titles showing strong early traction from concept to market. Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of KRAFTON India, emphasized that the program seeks to meet developers wherever they are in their journeys, supporting bold concepts and growing studios to solidify India’s status as a global creative force in gaming.
Ecosystem Growth and Past Cohorts:
The incubator’s expanding impact is demonstrated by previous cohorts, with Cohort 1 achieving successful soft launches and Cohort 2 accelerating development including Mumbai-based Singular Scheme, whose title Frontier Paladin launched on Steam on April 24, 2026, as the incubator’s first PC game. Furthermore, Cohort 3 successfully integrated four studios (Xod Games Studio, EvolX Games, Ether Games, and RedDevil Studio) from a pool of roughly 1,000 applications. Applications for KIGI Cohort 4 officially opened on September 22, 2026, with developers invited to apply via the official KRAFTON India website.
