Fitistan Announces Federal Bank Gunners Soldierathon Hyderabad to Commemorate 200 Years of the Regiment of Artillery
Fitistan, India’s prominent fitness community, has announced the upcoming Federal Bank Gunners Soldierathon, scheduled to take place on September 27, 2026, at the Artillery Centre, Golconda in Hyderabad. Marking its second edition, this year’s event holds exceptional national significance as it commemorates the bicentennial legacy 200 years of the Regiment of Artillery, paying tribute to the unwavering service, courage, and sacrifice of its Gunners through sports and community endurance.
Bridging Civilians and Armed Forces Through Sport:
The Soldierathon brings a military commemoration into a public format, allowing runners, Armed Forces personnel, veterans, families, and fitness enthusiasts to engage directly with the traditions of the Indian military. Highlighting the core mission of the movement, Fitistan Founder Shilpa Bhagat noted that the event creates a powerful bridge between civilians and the Armed Forces, enabling participants to combine fitness with gratitude. Co-founder Major Dr. Surendra Poonia, VSM (Ex-Special Forces), emphasized that every kilometre run honors those who have served and inspires younger generations to embrace resilience and discipline.

The event features a diverse program tailored for participants of all age groups and fitness levels:

Purpose-Driven Initiative and Rehabilitation Support:
Aligning with national movements like the Fit India Movement and the Government of India’s “No to Drugs – Yes to Sports” campaign, the Soldierathon extends its impact far beyond the race track. Proceeds from the event are dedicated to supporting Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centres in Pune and Mohali for the care of soldiers with spinal cord injuries. Additionally, initiatives like SENA – MADE BY THE BRAVEST allocate 5% of proceeds to empower and rehabilitate India’s injured warriors. Registrations are currently open across all categories.
