Rather than merely expanding geographic reach, the rollout introduces a reimagined streaming experience that combines a vast library of over 160,000 hours of content across 12-plus Asian languages with advanced discovery tools, interactive features, flexible subscription tiers, and personalized recommendations.
Comprehensive Content Catalogue and New Originals:
Designed to cater to the global South Asian diaspora as well as international viewers seeking diverse storytelling, the platform spans television, cinema, regional programming, and anime, with plans to add more than 30,000 hours of fresh content annually. The launch lineup features critically acclaimed originals and major franchises, including:
New Originals and Premieres: Ali Baba Aur Chaalis Bhoot, Prince of Mollywood, Part Timers, The Court, alongside blockbuster film premieres throughout the year like Dhurandhar, 12th Fail, Chhichhore, Kesari Chapter 2, and Kill.
Interactive Reality Programming: The iconic Bigg Boss franchise returns across six languages, introducing live voting capabilities for the first time in Singapore, Canada, and the UK. Available on mobile and Connected TV via the App Store and Google Play Store, JioHotstar introduces new flexible quarterly subscription plans alongside traditional annual options to adapt to modern viewing habits, allowing existing Hotstar subscribers to seamlessly transition without service disruption using their current credentials. The updated pricing structure effective from September 2 across the respective markets is outlined as follows: in the UK, the quarterly plan is priced at GBP 19.99 and the annual plan at GBP 69.99; in Canada, the quarterly plan is CAD 19.99 and the annual plan is CAD 49.99; and in Singapore, the quarterly plan is SGD 29.98 with the annual plan set at SGD 69.98.
