Bajaj Auto Celebrates 25 Years of Pulsar With All-New Pulsar 150 and 125 Models

Marking 25 years since its inception in 2001, Bajaj Auto Ltd. has officially unveiled the all-new Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125. The redesigned models update two of India’s most recognized sports motorcycles by integrating modern engineering and technology while preserving the traditional Pulsar characteristics of performance, attitude, and road presence. Since entering the market, the Pulsar lineup has expanded globally, with over 20 million units sold across more than 40 countries.

The updated motorcycles introduce a host of mechanical and technological enhancements:

Engine and Performance: The Pulsar 150 features a 149.5cc engine producing 14 PS at 8500 rpm and 13.7 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm, while the Pulsar 125 houses a 124.58cc engine generating 12 PS at 8000 rpm and 11 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. Both utilize class-first PVD piston rings to minimize friction and improve NVH levels alongside a revised gearbox for stronger low-speed tractive effort.

Chassis and Suspension: Built on a new diamond-type frame where the engine acts as a stiffness member for enhanced stability, the models introduce a nitrogen gas-charged emulsion type monoshock suspension.

Advanced Technology: Upgrades include a 5-inch TFT console supporting Google Maps navigation, digital document storage (such as RC and insurance), live call/message alerts, music controls, and an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) featuring an Automatic Start-Stop system.

Riding Modes: The models introduce segment-first triple ride modes Road, Rain, and Sport alongside “Crawl Tech” to improve control during low-speed traffic conditions.

Lighting: The styling features a redesigned “Wolf-Eye” LED headlamp with larger optics.

Speaking at the launch event in Pune, Sarang Kanade, Chief Business Officer for the Two-wheeler Business Unit at Bajaj Auto Ltd., emphasized the brand’s legacy, noting that the new generation retains the core elements that defined original models while adapting to modern riders.

The introductory ex-showroom Delhi prices are set at INR 115,233 for the new Pulsar 150 and INR 92,900 for the new Pulsar 125.
