Center Calls for All-Party Meeting on the 19th of This Month
The Central Government has taken a key decision in view of the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament. It has called for an all-party meeting on the 19th of this month. The meeting will be held at 11:00 AM on the 19th. While the government will explain its agenda during this meeting, the opposition parties are likely to raise the key issues they intend to bring up in the House.
According to the details shared by Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju on social media, with the approval of President Droupadi Murmu, the Monsoon Session will be held from July 20 to August 13. He stated that meaningful discussions and decisions regarding issues of national interest would take place during these sessions.
However, there are several issues expected to rock the Parliament sessions this time. Anticipation is high nationwide on how the government will tackle them. The opposition parties are primarily going to raise the NEET-UG paper leak issue, which has created a sensation across the country.
Additionally, the Congress party has strongly objected to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s remarks regarding the loss of lives in ‘Operation Sindhoor’ and has issued a Breach of Privilege notice against him.
Along with these, another key issue is the 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill. This bill proposes a rule stating that if a Prime Minister, Chief Minister, or Union/State Ministers face serious criminal charges and remain in judicial custody (jail) for 30 consecutive days, they will automatically lose their positions.
In addition to these, the opposition parties are also likely to collectively question the government over alleged irregularities regarding donations for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
