LOS ANGELES — The Consulate General of India in Los Angeles commemorated India’s 80th Independence Day with a flag-hoisting ceremony held at its newly established premises, uniting over 250 members of the Indian diaspora, citizens, and friends of India to celebrate unity, freedom, and national pride.
Event Highlights and Proceedings
Ceremonial Opening: The program commenced with the rendition of the National Song of India, Vande Mataram.
Flag Hoisting: Consul General Dr. K. J. Srinivasa hoisted the Tricolour, followed by attendees joining together to sing the National Anthem of India, Jana Gana Mana.
Presidential Message: Dr. Srinivasa addressed the gathering and read the official Independence Day message from the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.
