CM meets Denis Manturov, Russian Minister of Trade & Industry

Yesterday at 11.00 PM (IST) the Chief Minister Shri N Chandrababu Naidu met Mr. Denis Manturov, Russian Trade and Industry Minister.

Indicating that he was glad to see the Chief Minister and the delegation in Russia, he said that Russian regions and Indian provinces should be in touch and should realize their potential.  

Citing that he was impressed with Mr. Denis Manturov’s speech where he emphasized the importance of technology, the Chief Minister mentioned that he has a track record of promoting information technology.

“Our people are working in this field all over the world. We are using IoT (Internet of Things), drones, big data and analytics,” the Chief Minister said.

Informing that AP is at the forefront in adopting new technologies and practices, the Chief Minister explained that AP is using technology to monitor ground water levels by installing   piezometers to get real-time updates.

“I get to see all the updates on my dashboard on a real-time basis,” he said.

Later, he said that AP will usher in a revolution in the form of knowledge power and explained the fiber grid project taking up in AP.

Indicating that fourth industrial revolution is going to be the biggest revolution the Chief Minister pointed that AP is already experimenting with it.

“Population is our asset now. We have a demographic dividend. India is moving very fast,” the CM said.

He informed the Minister that while India’s average growth rate is 7. 6 percent, AP’s growth rate is recorded at 10.99 percent.

When the Russian Minister enquired from the CM in which industry the state was concentrating, the Chief Minister informed that manufacturers of defence and aerospace are some of the many areas the state wants to ride high on.

Later, the trade minister enquired the progress of Amravati and was informed by the CM that the state is working with several countries including Astana.

Furthermore, he said that both the states must make a list of all the industrial sectors where we can work together.

Indicating that both the countries should work on increasing the tourism flow, the Chief Minister invited the Russian Minister to visit Amaravati.
