Sri City Celebrates Maha Shivaratri with Devotional Fervour
Pooja At sacred Rudraksha Tree Draws Devotees Amid Resonating ‘Hara Hara Mahadev’ Chants
Sri City, February 15, 2026: Maha Shivaratri was observed with deep spiritual devotion at the Nursery premises of the Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Sri City. The celebrations featured special rituals at the sacred Rudraksha Tree, regarded as a divine symbol associated with Lord Shiva. The ceremonies included Rudrabhishekam, archana, and Vedic hymn chanting, creating a spiritually uplifting environment. The temple complex echoed with chants of ‘Hara Hara Mahadev,’ enhancing the devotional atmosphere.
Following the rituals, a community bhajan session was performed by students from IIIT Sri City and Krea University. All the devotees took part in a guided meditation session and later received prasadam as part of the observances.
Sharing his thoughts, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director of Sri City, described Maha Shivaratri as an occasion for devotion and self-reflection. He noted that the Rudraksha Tree at the temple represents a sacred spiritual symbol and expressed happiness over the active participation of devotees, particularly youth, and local villagers in strengthening community spiritual values.
The rituals and offerings were led by P.S.B. Sastry, while Mr. Avinash from Sri City’s Social Infra wing organised and coordinated the event. The well-attended celebrations concluded on a spiritually fulfilling note, leaving devotees with a memorable experience.
