Chennai Umbrellas Reach Tirumala for Garuda Seva

As part of the Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams, special umbrellas from Chennai have reached Tirumala for the Garuda Seva. A total of 9 umbrellas were presented by the Hindu Dharmartha Samithi, while 11 umbrellas were presented by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). These umbrellas will be used to decorate the Garuda Vahanam during the Garuda Seva scheduled for tomorrow evening.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has been offering umbrellas for the Lord’s service for centuries. The Hindu Dharmartha Samithi has been bringing umbrellas from Chennai to Tirumala on foot for the past 21 years and offering them to Lord Venkateswara.

TTD EO *Muddada Ravichandra*, Additional EO *Sri C. Venkayya Chowdary*, Tirupati District SP *L Subbarayudu*, Chief Vigilance and Security Officer *K.V. Murali Krishna*, SVBC Chairman *Sridhar Varma*, and other senior officials participated in the programme.

The officials also watched cultural performances presented by various groups during the Vahana Seva. They appreciated the devotion, discipline and excellent performances of the artists. The officials encouraged the artists to continue their services and contribute to the spiritual and cultural grandeur of the Brahmotsavams.

They also appreciated the arrangements made for the smooth conduct of the Vahana Seva and extended their best wishes to the participating artists and staff.
