Argentina Reaches World Cup Final Following Jersey Presentation
HYDERABAD — Within 12 hours of receiving the official Argentina 2026 FIFA World Cup jersey, former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin celebrated the team’s qualification for the tournament’s final. The commemorative jersey was presented by his former Hyderabad Ranji Trophy teammate, Bhagi Nanda Kishore Sandilya.
Azharuddin currently serves as the Minister for Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises for the Government of Telangana. Sandilya, who credits the former captain with inspiring his cricketing journey since his Under-15 days, presented the jersey as a gesture of sporting excellence and long-standing friendship.
During the meeting, the former teammates also discussed plans to develop a world-class cricket training center and international-standard multi-sports infrastructure in Hyderabad. The proposed initiative aims to nurture local athletes and elevate the city’s standing as a global sports hub.
