DAVOS: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that foundation for Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel Plant in Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh will be laid after February 15. He discussed on the steel plant with steel plant executive chairman Lakshmi Mittal during World Economic Forum session today. The steel plant first phase will be set up at a cost of Rs 60,000 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister directed the officials to complete the process of necessary sanctions including allotment of land for the steel plant before laying foundation. He stressed the need for speedy completion of the project and commencement of production.He directed the Ministers Nara Lokesh and TG Bharath to get necessary permissions for the plant from central government.
Arcelor Mittal company CEO Aditya Mittal Praised the initiative of Minister Nara Lokesh for setting up of steel plant. The Chief Minister explained to Aditya Mittal over the investment opportunities in various sectors in the state.
Ministers Nara Lokesh, TG Bharath and officials were present.
Later the Chief Minister discussed with Minister of State for Foreign Trade, UAE Thani Bin Ahmed AI Zeyoudi on the proposal of establishing Dubai food cluster in Andhra Pradesh and on development of Agritech, food tech, Aqua tech, food parks development and food security. The Chief Minister explained to UAE minister over the available opportunities for trade and exports in Andhra Pradesh including air connectivity, ports, roads and rail net works. He requested the minister to take initiative for investments from DP World, Sharaf group, Trans world, AD Ports, Adnoc companies in Andhra Pradesh. He said Andhra Pradesh has abundant opportunities for exports of Horticulture, Aqua and Agricultural products .
The Chief Minister explained to the minister on progress in renewable energy sector. He explained on vast opportunities for investments in Andhra Pradesh. He sought cooperation for development of space and Drone cities in Andhra Pradesh. The UAE minister responded positively on the proposals of Chief Minister.
