Indriya, Aditya Birla Jewellery, has established a new industry-first benchmark in natural diamond selection, aiming to bring greater delight and trust to the diamond buying experience. The brand operates on the belief that exceptional sparkle is the most visible expression of a diamond’s quality, building upon its best-in-class selection standards. Moving beyond conventional grading, Indriya evaluates how effectively a diamond reflects, refracts, and returns light to deliver superior brilliance, fire, and scintillation. Currently, only one out of five natural diamonds meets these rigorous standards.
Addressing the Industry Gap:
This shift arrives at a pivotal time for the sector, as India is at the heart of the global diamond industry with over 90% of the world’s diamonds cut and polished in regions like Mumbai and Surat. Despite this expertise, diamond jewellery consumption in India remains below 15%. By prioritizing diamonds with superior light return and optimal proportions, Indriya aims to bring highly sparkling diamonds to the forefront and reshape how Indian consumers evaluate diamonds beyond the traditional 4Cs.
The Science Behind the Sparkle:
While clarity, color, and carat are natural physical properties, the cut is a result of human precision and artistry, serving as the true driver of brilliance. Indriya understands the cut through three key light performance aspects:
Brilliance: The white light reflected from the facets of a diamond.
Fire: The dispersion of light into various spectral colors.
Scintillation: The flashes of sparkle seen when there is movement of light.
To ensure exceptional sparkle, Indriya selects only diamonds that meet exacting standards across these parameters, ensuring optimal light return and minimal light leakage. Furthermore, the brand uses near-colorless (F–H–G) diamonds and high-clarity tables to enhance reflection.

Brand Growth and Campaign:
Indriya is the first legacy-backed jewellery brand to enter the Indian market in over three decades and is the fastest-growing retail brand, having crossed 80 stores in under two years.
