AIIMS Partners with Sri City Foundation to Equip Schools Students
Sri City, February 6, 2026: Sri City Foundation, in collaboration with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Mangalagiri, organized a comprehensive Basic Life Support (BLS) training programme for students and teachers of high schools in and around Sri City.
A team of expert trainers from AIIMS, led by Mr. S. Dhaneesh Krishnan, Senior Nursing Officer, Mangalagiri, conducted interactive sessions demonstrating vital emergency response techniques. The training sessions cover a wide range of scenarios including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), nose bleeding, fits, choking, paralysis, snake bites, and dog bites.
The programme was structured as a two‑day initiative. On Friday morning, over 100 students from Madanapalem and Irugulam ZP High Schools engaged in hands‑on training, while another 150 students observed the demonstrations with keen interest. In the afternoon, more than 150 students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya participated in the training session. The momentum continues on Saturday, with sessions scheduled for the students of Accord School, followed by a dedicated training programme for Sri City staff later in the day.
Mrs. Nireesha Sannareddy, Director (CSR), Sri City, commended the AIIMS team for their valuable contribution and stressed the significance of such programmes in fostering awareness and preparedness among the community.
The two‑day initiative is aimed to provided hands‑on training to hundreds of students across the government and private high schools in the region, but also extend its reach to the Sri City staff, ensuring that both the academic community and the wider workforce are better prepared to respond to medical emergencies. By combining practical demonstrations with active participation, the programme created a strong foundation of awareness and readiness, underscoring Sri City Foundation’s commitment to community health and safety.
