Business Delegation from Japan’s Fukuoka Prefecture Visits Sri City
Sri City, February 6, 2026: A seven‑member delegation from the Fukuoka Foreign Trade Association (FFTA), Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, visited Sri City on Friday as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen international trade ties and promote industrial collaboration. The team, led by Mr. Masahiro Nishiyori, Secretary General of FFTA, was warmly received by Mr. R. Shivasankar, Senior Vice President (Marketing), Sri City, who extended a cordial welcome to the delegation.
Welcoming the delegation, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director of Sri City, described the visit as highly significant, noting its role in strengthening economic ties with Japan, particularly Fukuoka Prefecture. He highlighted Sri City’s evolution into a global manufacturing hub with over 240 companies from 31 countries, including more than 35 Japanese enterprises supported by a strong OEM and supplier ecosystem.
Mr. Bodgan George, Assistant Vice President (Business Development), presented Sri City’s advanced infrastructure, diverse industrial base, sustainability-driven approach, and investor-friendly ecosystem. The delegation was also briefed on the Government of Andhra Pradesh’s ‘Speed of Doing Business’ policy, which ensures rapid approvals and tailored incentives for different sectors, reinforcing the state’s reputation as a preferred investment destination.
Commending Sri City’s world-class facilities and its proactive engagement with Japanese enterprises, Mr. Masahiro Nishiyori observed: “In a recent seminar on India’s investment landscape, Sri City was recognised as one of the most promising investment destinations in the country. Our visit is focused on identifying business opportunities here and supporting companies that are considering investments in India, with particular emphasis on Sri City.”
The delegation participated in an interactive meeting with Sri City team, where both sides shared perspectives on investment opportunities, infrastructure expansion, and potential partnerships. The team toured the industrial hub, gaining first-hand exposure to its advanced infrastructure, and also held discussions with senior executives at Isuzu Motors.
The visit underscores FFTA’s resolve to deepen economic ties with India while showcasing Sri City’s emergence as a strategic gateway for Japanese SMEs in both green and orange sectors, thereby advancing Indo-Japanese collaboration across diverse industries.
