Sri City Hosts Seminar on Foreign Trade
Experts Share Insights on Export Finance, Compliance, and Policy Trends
The Aadharsh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), in partnership with Sri City, hosted a seminar on Foreign Trade. The gathering brought together an impressive mix of industry leaders, banking specialists, and trade consultants to explore pressing issues such as export finance, regulatory frameworks, and innovative banking solutions for global markets.
Delivering the inaugural address, Chief Guest Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director of Sri City, emphasised the strategic importance of Sri City in enabling export-led industrial growth. “Sri City is not just a location—it’s a gateway to global markets,” he remarked. “We must equip our industries with the tools and knowledge to compete internationally,” he added.
The seminar featured special addresses by distinguished banking professionals. Mr. Naresh Vemula, Vice-President and Head of Sales – Supply Chain Finance at Muthoot Fincorp, spoke on supply chain finance for industrial units, highlighting liquidity solutions tailored for exporters. Mr. Harpreet Singh, AGM, SME, Bank of India, presented insights on export finance, while Mr. Anand Prakash, AGM, E CCB, Bank of India, elaborated on banking products for EXIM, focusing on tools that simplify cross-border transactions.
Expert sessions followed, with Mr. R.R. Padmanabhan, Director of EXIM Group, explaining RBI regulatory compliance under cross-border transactions, and urging exporters to stay abreast of documentation and reporting norms. Dr. Gopal Krishna Raju, FCA and Director, 3i Advisory Group, provided clarity on RBI regulatory compliance in Exim trade, decoding policy frameworks and compliance structures.
Prior to the formal proceedings, Mr. V.V. Sampath Kumar, Vice President of ACCI, welcomed and introduced the dignitaries, speakers, and sponsors, extending a gesture of appreciation through a brief felicitation ceremony. The seminar wrapped up with a lively question-and-answer segment and enthusiastic participation from the audience, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. P. Nandagopal, Secretary of ACCI.
