TFTDDA New Executive Committee Takes Oath in Grand Ceremony

New Executive Committee Pledges to Work for Members’ Welfare and Protection of Their Rights

The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Executive Committee members of the Telugu Film & TV Dancers and Dance Directors Association (TFTDDA) for the 2025–2027 term was held in a grand manner in Hyderabad.

The ceremony was organised under the leadership of TFTDDA President Sumalatha Devi, and was attended by union leaders, dancers, dance directors and a large number of association members.

The newly elected office-bearers, who emerged victorious in the by-elections, formally assumed their respective responsibilities and took the oath of office. President Sumalatha Devi and members of the association congratulated the newly appointed executive committee and wished them success.
Speaking on the occasion, TFTDDA President Sumalatha Devi said that the new executive committee had been constituted by taking decisions in accordance with the association’s by-laws. She appealed to all members to extend their cooperation and support to the new team.

TFTDDA General Secretary G. Balakrishna clarified that reports suggesting that the association was opposed to actor Chiranjeevi were not true. He expressed gratitude to Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan for extending financial support to the association towards providing health insurance to its members. He said the association would remain indebted to them for their support and service.

Balakrishna said the welfare of members would remain the top priority of the new committee and assured that efforts would be made to provide health insurance coverage to every association member.

The gathering also specially remembered the contributions of the founding members who laid the foundation for the development of TFTDDA. Members recalled the services and guidance provided by Founder President Mukkiraju Master, Founder General Secretary Somaraju and Founder Treasurer L. Venkateswara Rao.

Prominent choreographer Sheik Jani Basha congratulated the newly elected committee and said that the issues of the past should now be set aside and everyone should work together for the development of the association.

He said he had returned to the union after leaving it midway and called upon all members to move forward unitedly. He also appealed to producers, the Film Chamber and all other stakeholders in the film industry to support and work together with the dancers’ association.

People Media Factory head and producer T.G. Vishwa Prasad said that his production house was making payments directly to artists instead of through intermediaries. He assured that his production company would provide opportunities to Telugu dancers directly in its upcoming projects.
Actor Tagubothu Ramesh congratulated the newly elected executive committee and expressed his hope that the new leadership would work collectively for the welfare of union members.

The representatives said that TFTDDA has been continuously working for the welfare of dancers and dance directors associated with the Telugu film and television industries. They stated that the new executive committee would give priority to resolving members’ problems, protecting their rights and implementing welfare initiatives.

The new executive committee resolved to work collectively to enhance recognition for the contribution of dancers in the Telugu film and television industries and to address their issues, welfare needs and rights.

The oath-taking ceremony brought renewed enthusiasm among TFTDDA members. A large number of association members, film personalities and artists actively participated in the event and made the ceremony a grand success.
